Good scattered content is not as useful as well-organized, related contents that’s properly linked together and accessible from a single page. That’s just what the hub and spoke model does.
First you look for related content you’ve already written, say it’s for contractors: how to bid on jobs, closing the deal, attracting clients, dealing with materials etc.
Then you find a good way to organize it: “The ultimate guide to running a contracting business”. That’s a cheesy example and you’ll want to use a tool to find high-value search keywords first to organize the content around. Once you have the general topic – what specific keywords are people searching for?
From there you write an article that fills in the missing pieces and heavily references your other posts – organizing the thoughts and providing a way for people to read all the content with a sensible flow.
