The Idea

This tip comes from Seth Godin. He recommends printing out your testimonials in a laminated binder. Every time you visit a new lead, show them the binder full of testimonials and say “Here are some of my recent clients, I hope by the end of this you’ll write me one too”.

The idea is to build up the binder over time to the point where it “might as well be bottomless”. Compare this to Google or website reviews that clients may not read through or believe. In person, it’s an impressive and unique way to be memorable and gain trust.
