Sales people tend to think they know everything – it almost seems like a necessary part of the job. Starting with a script is not giving up, it’s just a way more efficient use of your time and allows you to split test different words and sentences to get to something that works. And if you decide to scale your team, you’ll have a template for training based on real results.

If you don’t know how to write a cold-calling script do a Google search for your industry and try some out. You will likely screw up and sound robotic early on, but this will go away as you get used to the script and know it by heart and when to diverge.
